Getting Started
1. Make a Training Stick
Craft it from a stick and leather (any arrangement). Most of the mod is used with the Training Stick.
2. Open your cat's inventory
Hold the Training Stick and right-click your tamed cat to open its inventory.
- Equipment (5 slots): head, neck, body, face and back. Face and back items layer over hats and clothes.
- Dye: put a dye in the slot next to a dyeable outfit to recolor it.
- Storage (18 slots): anything you like. Hurt cats eat fish (raw or cooked cod and salmon) from it.
- Follow / Wander: a button switches modes. Wandering cats roam around a spot instead of following you (4–64 blocks).
- The screen also shows the cat's age, size and build — every cat is a little different.
- Cooking slot: dress your cat in the Chef Set and a red slot appears below the back slot. Raw meat, fish and other food put there cooks one at a time, as fast as in a furnace and with no fuel, and goes into its storage. The pan on its back smokes while it cooks.
- Crafting table: in the Lumberjack Set, a crafting table button takes the same spot and opens a 3×3 crafting grid.
- Ender chest: in the Dimension Traveler Set, an ender chest button takes the same spot and opens your ender chest.
3. Craft outfits and dress up
Every outfit is crafted from vanilla items only; see the outfit list for recipes. Vanilla helmets and chestplates fit too. Outfits give armor and take vanilla armor enchantments.
4. More with the Training Stick
- Shoo: hit a cat to shoo it away without hurting it.
- Group orders: right-click the air to tell all your cats nearby to sit, follow or wander. Scroll the mouse wheel in the menu to change the range.
- Tidy up: right-click a chest, barrel or shulker box to have nearby cats put their things away — or only their spare clothes, in a Cat Closet.
5. If the worst happens
A tamed cat that dies leaves a Cat Doll with all its things. Place it and feed it a fish to bring your cat back. See Cat Doll.
